Friday Favorites Featuring Blog Brulee

Happy Friday Favorites from Montreal! My mom and I decided to visit Montreal for a few days before heading off to Blog Brulee in Vermont. It's a gorgeous city, almost like a mini-Paris. And they definitely love their food. Can't wait to tell you all about it, but until then, check out instagram. Today, I've got an extra-special Friday Favorites featuring the dietitians who will be at Blog Brulee! In case you missed my post about it, Blog Brulee is a partially sponsored blogging conference in Vermont and I'll be attending along with 19 other dietitian bloggers. Be sure to follow me on twitter and instagram for updates!

Caramelized Banana Chia Seed Creme Brulee (Yeah...Imma Eat That) --> Woah woah woah. Y'all know I love caramelized bananas. But as a topping for creme brulee? Mind. Blown.

8 Tips for Washing Fruits and Vegetables (Nutriciolicious) --> Seems like every other week you hear about a new outbreak of foodborne illness. Buying local is a smart way to reduce your risk, but make sure you wash your fruits and veggies too.
Tteokbokki (Adventures of MJ and Hungryman) --> My absolute favorite Korean dish! These chewy rice cakes are addictive and so is the spicy sauce.

Quinoa Salad in a Mason Jar (Cape Fear Nutrition) --> Mason jars salads are probably the greatest thing I've learned from pinterest. The hours I've lost to pinterest procrastination and failed house projects were totally worth it to learn how to make a grab and go salad that stays fresh all week. Check out this one with chicken, radish, quinoa and beets!
Dark Chocolate Ginger Creme Brulee (Nutrition Adventures) --> Oh my yum.

Raw Wild Blueberry Snack Balls (Food Confidence) --> Y'all know I love my wild blueberries! These tasty treats look perfect for a snack or healthy treat. And the wild blueberry pictures are stunning!

Avocado Salmon Burgers (Living Well Kitchen) --> I don't eat much fish, mostly because fresh and sustainable options are so expensive! Canned salmon is my solution, as canned wild salmon is easy to find and inexpensive  a delicious one when it's used to make these yummy burgers!
Raspberry Coconut Carrot Cake Muffins (NourishRDs) --> These muffins don't just look delicious for being gluten free and no added sugar. They just look straight up delicious!

Chia Pudding with Maple Roasted Figs (The Foodie Dietitian) --> Let's just put figs on everything, okay?
Almond Butter Cream (Love & Zest) --> Who knew almond butter could get creamier? This looks like the most perfect fruit dip.

Roasted Okra and Tomato Salad (Marisa Moore Nutrition) --> If you think you don't like okra because of it's slimy texture, try this trick and roast it whole! I made a similar dish on the grill and it's one of my favorite summer sides.
Naan Pizzas with Garlicky Roast Tomatoes and Ricotta (30 Seconds with A & J) --> Throw roasted tomatoes on anything and I'll eat it, but especially so when it also involves ricotta, garlic and naan.
